Privacy Policy

Thursday Rose is a free hair and beauty planner operated by Cara Coley and Karisma Ray ("Thursday Rose," "we," "us" or "our"). This policy explains what personal information we collect through thursdayrose.com, your Thursday Rose account and our emails (together, the "Service"), how we use it, who processes it, and the choices you have.

1. The short version

You can make a plan without an account. Your answers stay in your browser until you choose to save.
If you save, we keep your name, email, your three answers and what you add yourself (done marks, visit log, your stylist).
We don't ask for health information, we don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, at any time, from your plan page.

2. Information we collect

When you make a plan without an account

Your answers (upcoming events and dates, your last appointment date, the current state of your hair) are used in your browser to build your calendar. They are stored on your device so you don't lose them, and are not sent to us. We count, as anonymous daily totals, how many people start the questions, see a plan and ask to save it; these counts contain no information about you.

When you save your plan

Your first name, last name (optional) and email address.
Your answers: upcoming events (type, date and an optional name you give them), your last appointment date and the current state of your hair.
Items you mark as done on your calendar.
Your visit log, if you keep one: visit dates, the grade your stylist gave you and your own notes.
Your stylist's name and booking link, if you add them.
Your reminder setting.

Please don't put health or medical information in your notes. Thursday Rose doesn't need it, and this version of the Service is not built to handle it.

Information collected automatically

Technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the time of visits. Our hosting provider processes it to deliver and secure the Service. We use IP addresses to limit how many sign-in emails can be requested.
Page view counts per page and day, with no information about who viewed them.
Analytics. Only if you accept in the consent banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site.
Email delivery. Our email provider records whether an email was delivered or bounced.

Cookies and similar technologies

Strictly necessary: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, a short-lived cookie that connects your sign-in code to the browser that asked for it, and browser storage that keeps your unsaved answers and your analytics choice on your device.
Analytics (only with consent): Google Analytics cookies.

We do not use advertising cookies.

3. How we use your information

To build and show your calendar and keep your plan, visit log and stylist.
To sign you in by emailing you a single-use code and link.
To send the reminder emails you asked for (you can turn them off in any reminder or in your settings).
To answer you when you write to us.
To understand and improve the Service, using anonymous counts and, with your consent, analytics.
To protect the Service from spam and abuse, and to comply with law.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Nothing in your account is shown publicly. We share information only:

With service providers who process it on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting, database, and sending and receiving email) and Google (Analytics, only with your consent).
For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or others.
In a business transfer, if Thursday Rose is transferred to another operator, in which case this policy continues to apply to information collected under it unless you are notified and given a choice.

Your stylist does not receive anything from Thursday Rose. The booking link you save opens your stylist's own booking site, whose privacy practices are its own.

5. How long we keep information

Your account and everything in it: until you delete it. Deleting it removes your account, answers, done marks, visit log, stylist and reminder history right away.
Sign-in codes: deleted within two days. Sign-in sessions end after 30 days or when you sign out.
Email subscribers (if you sign up for new notes): until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
Server and security logs: for as long as our providers keep them for security purposes.

6. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can access and correct your information (most of it on your plan page), get a copy, turn reminders off, decline analytics, and delete your account and everything in it from your plan page. For anything else, email hello@thursdayrose.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days and will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights under those laws, and we will honor them.

7. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, sign-in by single-use emailed codes (no passwords to steal), codes and sessions stored only as one-way hashes, limits on sign-in attempts, and access-controlled storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Age requirement

Thursday Rose is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

9. Where information is processed

Thursday Rose is operated from the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

10. Links to other websites

The Service links to other websites, including booking links you save. Their privacy practices are their own.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
